my lo still won't take a pacifier and at first i didn't mind but now i am a human pacifier and i'm worried about going back to work in 3 weeks and what i am going to do...

when we give him a pacifier now he opens his mouth way too wide and slobbers everywhere i'm assuming because he is trying to latch onto it but its way tinier than my breast...  is there any pacifier that works best for bf babies?

or at 6 1/2 weeks is it too late to introduce a paci?

DD is 6 1/2 weeks and we are still offering the paci but she has the same issue as your LO. She hates it and we've tried 3 different brands... she also wont take a bottle... I'll be interested to see what others say. Does your LO take a bottle?

he had been taking 2 bottles of pumped milk every night we just started back with just breastfeeding at night last week... so yeah bottles are no problem just pacifiers!

my dd finally took a soothie pacifier after several weeks of refusing others.  Although some days she also like the nuk brand.  Does the bootle brand that use also make a paci?  I'd try that if they do- most make the paci the same as the bottle nipple.

I tried and tried and tried to get LO to take a pacifier and he refused all 8 brands that I offered him.  No problem taking a variety of bottles, but he wants nothing to do with the pacifier.  I don't think 6 weeks is necessarily too late, but your LO just might never take one.  Means, we don't have to wean LO of it!  But, I agree that you get worn out being the human pacifier.  I will say, LO uses me less and less as a pacifier now.

DD wil take a Soothie for like 30 seconds then spits it out. She will occasionally take it at bedtime, but spits it out after she relaxes.
