4:45 a.m. Ugh.

That's what time my darling girl decided to wake from her peaceful slumber.

The early waking has been going on for almost a month now. I'm fully convinced we've hit the fabled "18-month sleep regression" early. We've shifted her bedtime around and got a big fat NADA.

I guess I should be happy she sleeps from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Right?

  • Hang in there.  We just went through about a month of this and I was at my wits end.  Gavin just got back into his normal sleep routine in the last week and it has been awesome!  He is actually asking to go to bed and even if he wakes during the night, he will put himself back to sleep no problem.  I hope this continues- Knock on wood!!!!

  • Wait.  18-month sleep regression?  what is this?  I swear there is an unfortunate milestone every month!

I feel your pain.  C is cutting her molars and is an absolute joy these days.

  • I personally don't believe the day starts before 6:00am.  I am so thankful that I rarely have to get up before 7:15.  Sending some sleepy dust to Geneva  and caffeine to her momma :)

  • I feel your pain! Have lots of caffeine for the both of us. :)

  • That 18 month sleep regression killed me! Although, they should call it 18+ as in 19 months and 20 months too. My good sleeper is just now coming back. One thing I noticed is that DD could function so well on much less sleep than I thought she could. That scares me!  Hang in there!
