Breast Buds?

Any mommies of little girls who have breast buds?  My little one looks like she's ready for a B cup.  They don't seem to be tender or to be bothering her.

I need to add it to my list of things to ask about when she goes to the doctor this week.

I'm just curious if there are any other bumpies with little girls who have them.

Re: Breast Buds?

  • I don't have a girl, but from what I remember from the birthing classes that I took that is totally normal for them to get and will go away.

  • My DD had little boobs as well. I think they went away at 2wks.
  • I've heard it's common for both girls and boys to have this issue because of the estrogen from mom.  It should go away soon.

  • Pediatrician says they'll go away by the end of the first year.
  • My babe got them. They were gone in a few days.

  • DS had them and the pedi said it's normal and they'd be there as long as I was BFing.  I'm still EBFing, but the buds recently went away.

  • My DD still has them but I just chalk it up to either her being ebf or my little chunky monkey.  It's not something that worries me, I must admit.

This! The swelling in my DD breasts went down at 2 1/2 weeks. A nurse told us its completely normal.

  • Totally normal--it's from the hormones. It will go away. Also, don't be alarmed if it looks like she's lactating at some point--that is also totally normal and will go away. Freaky, but normal!
