I'm sorry to have to ask, but our instructions are buried somewhere. How do they advise cleaning the tubing? There is some dried up milk in mine.
Thanks!

Re: How to clean Medela PIS tubing?
No clue which way they say to clean the tubing...
I just let them soak with my other pump parts in the sink w/ hot soapy water. Then, I run water through the tubing to rinse. That has gotten the dried milk out just fine.
Then I take them outside and whip them around like a lasso over my head to get them dry... LOL... I'm totally serious
I haven't found a way that works better

I think I read in the book that you can put rubbing alcohol in the tubes to get moisture out. I don't know how you're supposed to get the alcohol IN the tube?
I've also used the method PP said of soaking in water/running faucet water through them - whipping them around to get drops out.
If they get moldy I've heard Medela will send you a replacement for free, if you call the 800 number.
You can clean them in the steam bags. You just have to clean them by themselves and be sure they are covered completely in water. That was the challenging part to me since the tubes don't just lay flat...
If you run your pump with just the tubes, it should dry them out. Never tried it when they are really wet, but sometimes if a little water gets in them if I pump when the shields aren't completely dry, this works.
