I'm still alive...

Nearly through with my first day back at work and DS's first day at daycare.  DH and I dropped him off this morning, and I made it all the way back out to the car before I broke down crying.  Today has gone better than I was expecting.  I've been really busy and haven't had much time to think about how much I miss him.  And I've only called once to check on him!  On the plus side, pumping at work is going well.  I've filled up four 5-oz bottles, which will take care of tomorrow's bottle requirements.  Hopefully I can do that every day!

All in all, I think I will be fine.  It gets less hard to leave them in the mornings, right?

awww.. and wow, good job with the pumping! To me, it's not so bad in the mornings it's the afternoon that's hard. When I work, I'm always rushing home in the afternoons to get to him. I enjoy a little break but I can hardly stand it.

It does suck, but yes it gets better. You're very strong to have made it back to the car before breaking down! One of the teachers had to give me a hug and tell me it'll be ok because I lost it almost as soon as we walked in the door!

Awww...I remember my 1st day back to work   I also held it together until I got to the car, then sobbed on my way to work!  I refuse to let DS see me cry when leaving.  It does get easier but Mondays or Tuesdays after a long holiday like today are the worst.  I still wish I could SAH with him but since we can't right now, we have to make it work.  You're doing a great job with pumping!  Keep up the good work!
