How is breast feeding going for you? ?Does is hurt? Are you exclusively breast feeding, pumping, supplementing with formula or doing a combination? If you're pumping, how many oz. are you pumping at this point? Trying to see where I am in comparison to others at this stage.
For me, yes it still hurts a lot. ?I breast feed and supplement with formula at night (1 or 2 bottles). ?When I pump I get about 2 1/2 oz. from both breasts combined.?
Re: LO 2 mths. and under
BF is going surprisingly well for us. It doesn't hurt anymore either! I'm going to start pumping next weekend but right now he's exclusively nursing.
The first week we supplemented with formula in an SNS on the breast because my milk took a while to come in. I also had blisters on my nipples and the right one had scabs and bled for about a week. I'm so much happier now!
this is pretty much us exactly!!!
How is breast feeding going for you? getting better but still not easy...?
Does is hurt??i get little sores once in awhile that kill... and ds still doesn't open his mouth wide enough at times and just gnaws at me...
Are you exclusively breast feeding, pumping, supplementing with formula or doing a combination? exclusively breastfeeding?
If you're pumping, how many oz. are you pumping at this point? ?i can pump about 3-4 oz both breasts combined?
How is breast feeding going for you? It has gotten a lot easier in the last 2 weeks...
Does is hurt? DD will pull on my nipple if the flow is too slow for her. Goober.
Are you exclusively breast feeding, pumping, supplementing with formula or doing a combination? I am trying to EBF, but I have to pump first thing in the morning because I am engorged...LO just started to STTN. We use the bottles of EBM in the car when we drop DH off at work....my DD will feed her if she seems hungry.
If you're pumping, how many oz. are you pumping at this point? I normally get about 4 oz in total
DS is 11 weeks and it's going well for us now. We had a rough start with DS in the NICU then having a hard time eating due to jaundice. I pumped for the first few weeks since he really didn't want to eat and barely gained any weight. Something just clicked and all of a sudden he decided he was ready to nurse. I was pumping up to 35 oz a day at that point (6-8 pumping sessions).
99% of the time it does not hurt. If I'm half asleep and I don't get the latch right then yes, it does hurt, but that's rare these days. I BF during the day and give a bottle of BM right before bed. I pump after the first feeding of the morning and get anywhere from 5-10 ounces.
This is my third child and I BF all of them. I think that helps with the amount I am able to pump and the pain (or lack thereof).
How is breast feeding going for you?
Pretty good. We had trouble at first because she was jaundiced and not eating well but I think my supply has regulated and we are figuring it out.
Does is hurt?
Nope. It barely hurt when we first started and that went away quickly.
Are you exclusively breast feeding, pumping, supplementing with formula or doing a combination?
I EBF when home and pump when I am at work.
How many oz. are you pumping at this point?
I get about 3-4oz in a session while at work. I get 5ish in the morning when I first wake up and about 2 if I pump right after a feeding.
Bf is going well- finally! It was a long time coming and I still get nervous when I suspect issues. I even forget to put on my Lanolin sometimes now, which NEVER happened before. I'm also considering dropping the nipple shields. We'll see when I get brave nough for that!
I'm EBF and when I pump I get anywhere between 2 and 2.5 oz per breast.
