How old/big does a baby have to be to use

a carriage w/out the car seat?

We have a travel system type stroller thing.

i put L in around 2 1/2-3mo reclined back

I don't think there is a certain age. We started with just the stroller at about 3.5 months.

I just started putting him in his stroller. For us it was so much more easier taking the carseat part with us.

We've started doing so with the reclined back and him firmly strapped in. Depends on how good you think DC's head control is.
