I was watching Real Housewives of Atlanta and they took a class at the Belly Dancing Studio by my house.  I preferred it when they stuck to the super suburbs where they actually live and stayed away from the city for the most part.

So embarassing to have them represent the place I live in.

Does it bother you when people refer to Atlanta as "Hotlanta"? 

Just wondering, from a local's perspective.

From another GA girl, I do think Hotlanta sounds stupid. Saying ATL doesn't bother me so much.

I just think of Hotlanta as a rural saying, l only heard it growing up from people who lived in rural areas when they came up to go shopping or something.

I'm in MD and a lot of people say it up here.  And down in VA where I'm from originally.  I think I may have said it last week, actually, ha ha.
