Clomid starts 2morrow!

I am so excited!!!  Being my first cycle on Clomid, I'm *trying* not to get my hopes up...but it's hard and I don't think I'll be able to stop myself...in fact I've already figured out when I should be testing and when my EDD would be. 

I will be going in on Sept. 18th for a follie check u/s and possibly a trigger shot if I'm ready.  If I O by the 21st, then I plan on testing on DH's birthday, which is Oct. 1st.  How awesome would that be?  Yep, too late...my hopes are already up...

Time to break out the Pomegranate supplements, green tea and preseed...

Remember that if you get a trigger shot, it could mess up when you "think" you should be testing.  It all depends on how well you respond to the clomid.  If you respond well, you may end up triggering earlier than you normally would have O'd.  Good luck at the follie check!!

Thanks!  Yeah, that's partially why I'm trying not to get my hopes up because there is no way to know how my body is going to respond to the Clomid.  I don't have a "normal" as far as O'ing...I have PCOS and only O occassionally...so who knows what will happen, I may not even O at all!  I'll be using my CBEFM to try and pinpoint O in case it happens before the u/s, but somehow I doubt it.  I can't chart my temps accurately anymore due to working night shift...which really stinks. :-( 

And if/when I do get the trigger, I think I will test the HCG out of my system just so I know when it's "all clear".  Then if I do get a bfp there will be no question!

What dosage are you doing?  50?  Hopefully the 50 works.  Remember to drink loads and loads of water.  I get really bad headaches, and nauseaus, so the water can help combat that.  I think Mrs0815 says that she takes it at night so her side effects aren't so bad... but I guess everyone is different.

Rememeber also that the CBEFM can get all out of whack once you get the trigger shot.  So, use the monitor if you want, but if you're being monitored, it's not necessary.  The u/s will show your follie growth, and the trigger will force ovulation anyways.

Yes, I'm starting with 50mg.  Thanks for the heads-up on the water...I try to drink 2 to 3 liters a day anyway, but I'll be sure to make sure I'm getting enough this week.  Unfortunately I can't always take it before I go to bed because I work night shift, so sometimes I sleep at night and sometimes during the day.  Night shift sucks for the whole TTC process on many levels.... :-(

I'm just going to use the monitor until my trigger, that way IF I get a peak before the u/s we'll know we definitely need to BD that day...otherwise we're probably going to stick to every other day from CD10 on (what my Dr. recommended).
