Are there any free sites out there that actually give you any information?  I'm checking on some out of state number that DH talked to.

I text 242 242 (it's free) and you can ask.  They can usually find it.

I worked in collections for a while, if it is a cell phone you will have to pay to break the number.  If it is a landline you can do a basic reverse on yellowpages.com and it will tell you the name and address of the person.  That is if it is a listed number.
