Hey, lady! Two quick questions, if you have time:
1) K's bottom teeth (baby teeth, obviously) are a little crooked. Does this matter? Does it mean her big-girl teeth are more likely to be crooked and that I should be saving for her braces already? lol
2) Riddle me this: what is the biological purpose of my 5-month-old having two teeth and more on the way? Should I begin feeding her steaks at this point, since her mouth is apparently ready for them? ![]()
I know, I know...I go and rail against your profession, and then ask you for your wisdom. You'd better one-star this post pronto!

Re: ****jorie, can I get a free consultation?****
....butting in....
1. DD had a space between her top teeth for a long time and the Ped told me that it would have nothing to do with the way her adult teeth would look. So I am guessing the same would hold true for the crooked bottom teeth.
2. DS got 2 bottom teeth at 5 1/2 mos old and didn't have any others pop through until 2 months later! At nearly one, he has 8 teeth....4 on the top and 4 on the bottom. Didn't answer your question, but wanted to share because DS had those 2 first teeth pretty early too!
Anything for you Cubs:)
1. Good news, bad news. Good news: her baby teeth being crooked don't mean her perm teeth will be crooked also. There's no correlation at all. Bad news: I'd start saving for ortho anyway. Very few are blessed with great teeth and enough space for all of them.
2. Wow, an early teether huh?! I seem to remember Lydia getting teeth early too...like 4 months. The *avg* age for a first tooth is 6 months, but the range is really all over the place. Yeah, maybe throw a little steak in the rice cereal:)
