My H has no desire to even start talking about baby names. He thinks we have plenty of time and don't even need to start talking about it until December and we are due 01/11/10!!
I am so excited to start talking about names now that we know we are having a girl and my H and I are such indecisive people!! I think we need to start the discussion sooner or later.
I think talking about names is fun, I guess he doesn't agree haha!
I want to name her and start calling her by her name :-).
Anyone else's H's dragging their feet on this?
Re: Anyone else's DH dragging their feet in talking about baby names?
haha yes, this is my plan if it gets to be the end of October and he still does not want to start talking about it. I'm going to call her by the name I LOVE and want to name her. Even though I know he is not 100% crazy about the name. Maybe that will motivate him to give me some suggestions of names he does like!
haha, this is what I just did! DH is a golfer, so I said that I decided we were naming him Tiger and started calling him that. He can't quite figure out if I'm serious or not and now is totally into considering the 100 names I've been throwing at him the last couple of months!
My DH was dragging his feet at first but then I just started saying what do you think about this or this....and I kept making lists for him to look at - if he said he liked something I would try to find out why (the sound, the way it looks) and try to find others that were similar..
just keep bringing it up
Not only will my husband not have a serious discussion about baby names, he insists on driving me crazy by suggesting names he knows I'll hate. The most recent list included:
Gordon
Rudy
DeShaun
Lavon
Joan (for a boy!!!)
Gladys (for a boy!!!)
and his favorite is Trucker. Yes, you read that right. Trucker.
No offense if any of these are on your real list, but they're just NMS. And I know that my husband is totally joking around, but it's driving me nuts. I won't even talk baby names with him anymore. I know he'll decide last minute bc that's his style. Maybe I just need to tell him how important this is to me. It's definitely part of "nesting."
