First Years True Fit or True Fit Premiere

I am seriously considering buying this car seat for DD for when she outgrows her Snug Ride.  I am assuming I should buy the premiere version with the anti-rebounding bar but was wondering what other people thought.  It also has an indicator more similar to the Britax on it when the regular one only has a red line that you need to have straight - I like this feature but this alone is not worth the extra $100 but I am thinking the anti-rebounding bar is.

  • The anti-rebound bar is worth the extra $100. Obviously if you don't have the money, they all have to pass crash tests, so it's safe, but a must for me is an anti-rebound bar or rear facing tether on any convertible seat.

  • Thanks, I thought it would be but just did not know enough about it.  I just searched for it and saw how the Britax infant carrier has one so I saw what it does and that is awesome.  Ok, now I am second guessing myself again because the police officer that inspected our car preferred that the rear facing tether NOT be installed because he felt like the baby absorbed more of the impact instead of the car seat.

  • Ok, the more I look into it the more I think the tether is a good thing and therefore the rebound bar is.  Thanks!
