BF-ing only on one side?

Due to LO having jaundice, and having to supplement her feedings with formula, my supply has never really come in on one side.  The other side seems to satisfy LO most of the time, but I am having no luck getting anything out of pumping.  Is there anyone else who is primarily feeding from one side?  I am so worried that LO will not get enough from the one side every time.  I am working with a LC and we are hoping that with time and a crapload of pumping, my supply will build on the one side and start up on the other...

I had to do this for the first week or so. Eventually, my supply built itself up on the other side and my son was just fine feeding off of one side. Just be patient!

It is totally doable - there was someone who could only BF from one side for some reason but I can't remember who.  Plus think of twin mamas who BF.

You are still very early in the game though so keep working on that other side.  Even if it never really kicks in for you, you can still successfully BF from your "good" side.

i really don't think pumping is that good of an indicator; i always pump way more from the left than i do from the right but DD eats both sides at each feeding...anyway. keep nursing on the lower-producing side, you may even want to offer it first at every feeding to stimulate it.

I had the same problem and I called an lactation consultant and she said that pumping isn't a good way to measure how much milk is in your breast, and that baby's can always get more than what you can pumping. She also said to start BF on that side for 24 hours and that should help increase the milk.
