TTC after 35

Starting to lose my mind

Well after having that nice beta on Tuesday I'm now starting to doubt myself that things are going to work out well.  I was feeling icky on Tuesday and Wednesday and smells were getting to me and then yesterday poof everything was gone.  Now, I'm convinced that when I go in on Tuesday (why so long from now?!) my next beta is going to be going down.  I'm on the ledge and about ready to topple over.

Re: Starting to lose my mind

  • I'm sure everything is fine. I requested (demanded, didn't take no for an answer) that my md do additional betas for my own peace of mind, I figured if I was paying they had no reason to say no. As long as they are 48 hrs apart, there is no reason for them to deny your request. Hang in there and good luck!!!!

  • I diagnosis nerves :)

I haven't had a single symptom, and as far as I know everything is fine. AND I've heard people say that very frequently - that symptoms vanish. But they are still KU!

Hang in there....try and breathe a bit :)

  • Step away from the ledge!  Try to focus on the fact that absolutely nothing has happened to indicate your beta would be going down.  If something was wrong, you would be spotting/bleeding, or having bad cramps. Your bad feeling is all in your head.  I am sure all is fine!!!!

  • There is still hope!!!!  Don't get discouraged now!  Hang in there....we're all rooting for you!
  • I've heard about the vanishing symptoms too!  I'm sure you are fine!Big Smile
  • I have complete faith that you're okay.  But I know how hard it is to think otherwise.  *hugs*  See if you can get another draw done for your peace of mind.

  • I never had one symptom with my DS (early on).  I am sure everything is fine but I understand how stressful it is.

  • I found that during 1T, every good test result gave me about 24 hours of relief and happiness before the worry started back. Those things only tell us that nothing has gone wrong in the past not what the future will hold. As hard as it is (maybe impossible) try not obsess over every symptom, they really do come and go.... oh never mind, You can't not obsess and worry. Just remember that soon enough 1T will be over and your belly will be growing and LO will be kicking.

  • ugh, i hate that you are feeling this way. it's so not fair!

please believe that this IS going to work out! stay positive! i know how just how hard it is but enjoy your holiday wknd and go into tuesday with a great attitude!

(btw, i have a sono tuesday and i'm on the ledge too...........have had some spotting and freaking out yet again.)

hang in there, we're all pulling for you!!!!?

  • (((hugs)))  I'm sure everything is ok. The only symptom I have is that I'm extremely tired and that even comes and goes. I'm chalking up being tired to the hydroxyprogesterone shots that I'm getting.  We all have a long weekend that starts now, so hopefully you'll be busy all weekend and Tuesday will be here before you know it.  I go in for another beta myself on Monday but I don't think I get the results until Tuesday. I just plan on keeping busy as my tired self will allow.

  • Hang in here girl...everything will work out.
  • Oh hon, Im sorry that you are feeling nervous and worried.  Get yourself right back off that ledge right now.  All these IF treatments are such a mind game.  I dont think there is any way to keep the doubt from creeping back in.

Just keep telling yourself that you did have an awesome beta, you are K/U, you havent had any cramping / bleeding so things are progressing nicely.

I know I have read that preg. symptoms do come and go.  I honestly dont think it means anything that you dont have the symptoms any more.

  • I'm sorry DNA. I have also read many posts on SAIF that say their symptoms come and go. Hope you're feeling better.
