I am just starting to look into my daycare options and was wondering if some of you have a nanny or have priced how much a nanny would cost for an infant. I live in Gwinnett, if that impacts the price. TIA.
We pay $540/week for our nanny plus $35 per week for the "Mom's Morning Out" program he attends Monday and Wednesday mornings. We are also in the Milton area.
If we hadn't gotten a nanny, the daycare we would have sent him to was $995/mth.

From my research and experience (we've had 2 nannies) the range is anywhere from $11 - $15 per hour for 1 child. It depends on your location, your expectations/duties for the nanny and the nanny's experience level. HTH.
I am in Gwinnett too...we're a little further along then you and should really get on the ball with it! Bright from the start is a state run site that gives you the names of liscenced people/agencies by county. I have been looking at that and will probably do some more research. I will be trying to find an in home day care. Where in Gwinnett are you?
My mother owns a home day care, she has been doing it for almost ten years. Right now she charges around $150/wk and it includes food unless you have a baby you then would provide the milk. She is state license, has her CDA and is CPR certified. She lives in Gwinnett. Hope this helps.
