I am a teacher and will probably be going back to work after 6 weeks. I was wondering if I will need a hands-free pump, or if a regular electric pump would work. I will only be able to pump during lunch some days. TIA!
I LOVE my freestyle. Seems like a lot of moms on here have the PISA and can't imagine that the freestyle wouldbe worthwhile, but I think it's awesome.
It is so compact and it's very efficient to haul around and let's face it we carry enough stuff, right? And I love having the handsfree feature although you can get handsfree nursing bustiers for the regular pumps (but honestly that doesn't appeal to me very much, I like being able to at least wear my regular nursing bras).
I think a regular electric pump would work if you don't mind holding the parts to your boobs for 15-20 mins and not being able to do anything else, which is what I do. I would be more concerned about dropping a pretty penny on an electric if you're only going to be able to pump once a day on "some" days. Very little and sporadic pumping like that could really cause your supply to drop which might lead to you giving BFing up early.

You can actually make any pump work hands free with one of a handful of techniques. Check out kellymom.com, google hands-free pumping, or look for previous threads here.
The hands free bustier pp mentioned goes on over whatever bra you are wearing only while you are pumping, so you can wear your regular nursing bras.
