Babies: 9 - 12 Months

1st night away from DD on Saturday.

DH is in a wedding this weekend so we figured instead of waking Lil super late when we get done, it would be best for her to just spend the night at my parents' house. It's such a bizarre feeling to know she won't be with us for one night. I thought I would be excited to have a night alone with DH (and to sleep!) but I'm actually kind of sad...how pathetic is that, lol:)

  • Not pathetic.  We are going back east this weekend for a wedding but then DH has to fly home and I have to be in NYC for work so DD will be at my mom's in NJ with the nanny.  When I made these plans months ago, I was looking forward to a couple nights on my own but as we get closer I'm getting sicker and sicker to my stomach.  I can't believe we'll both be away from her for at least 4 nights (that's if I can get away for one night before our event next weekend).  ugh!

  • I did that a couple of months ago although it was just me away and not DH which probably made it a little easier on me.  I had a really hard time leaving the house though! DH had to push me out the door pretty much because DD was asleep and I kept wanting to look in on her!  You will be fine and you will probably end up wanting to do it again soon!  I think that night away actually has made it easier for me to be okay with getting out now and then!
