Someone posted a today show link on here awhile back.  I think Meredith has actually had 4 miscarriages.

Thanks for posting that. I tuned in at the end of it. I agreed w/a lot of what they said. I wish I could've made my sil and mil watch it. They handled my experience EXACTLY how you're NOT supposed to.... "Well atleast it was before you heard the heartbeat", "Well, you're young", "It happens a lot, but I never went through it", "It just wasn't meant to be".........

Ahh... haven't seen it yet. I paused the show so I'm a little behind. That's great that Meredith admitted it. I wish more celebs would.. .maybe it wouldnt be so taboo to speak about it and maybe, just maybe, if it were more discussed, people would finally learn NOT to make the stupid comments they do.

yes -- she just said that. she had 3, then a son, and then miscarried again. it was so nice to hear them talk about it. they really covered it well, talking about the emotions: anger, bitterness, emotional breakdowns when you see a new baby or a big belly. sounds familiar....;)

i wish they had talked about what to say to someone who has had a m/c. they both said that people made stupid comments about the early losses saying that it was so early it didn't count.

I just read Meredith had 5 miscarriages before successfully delivering her 3 children.  I really appreciate when people open up about this because for so long it has seemed like some kind of secret.

I wish I could have seen that.  I agree it is nice to hear others admit to it too.  I think it is helpful to hear that you aren't the only one... and is why I LOVE the bump boards where others know what I am going through.
