Breastfeeding

if you introduced solids..poop ?

So my lo doesn't usually have a BM everyday since she was about 5months and pedi said that was ok...she has plenty wet diapers Now we have been doing solids for a month now..she gets cereal.fruits n veggies...she had a few days with BM and finally this morninh she went but it looked like adult poop..it wals like a median sized ball not extremly hard but enough to be a ball...she never had this before...is she constipated?? She is not umcomfortable but her poop is usually very pasty..not sure what to think of this........

  • Hey there!  I;d call the pedi, but it is probably normal.  The longer poo stays in your intestines, the water gets absorbed back into the body.  It is probably just a sign that her digetsive system is maturing.  (I'm at work so I disabled images, but I'm sure Bella is cute as ever!!)

  • That's pretty much what my son's poo is looking like these days. He's 7 months, 1 week and has solids 2-3 times/day and breastfeeds other than that.  I'm hoping it's normal!
  • my lo also slowed down on her bm's a few weeks ago and just started producing her first terds, lol...it used to be more like peanut butter....i actually prefer the terds....much easier with cloth diapering :)  ...i'm sure if she's not uncomfortable, she's fine
