registry question

Did you out clothing and onsies on your registry?  I feel like If someone wants to get me an outfit, I should let them pick it out.  I'm already choosing all the "big" items we want/need.   But then I feel like if I add the outfits, then that gives more lower cost items for people to chose from.  WDYT?

Re: registry question

  • i want people to look at my registry clothes because i'm picky when it comes to girl things. I like brown and pink but not pure pink
  • ?We do have a few outfits on the registry. Not that many though, I know people like to pick out outfits, you know? We'll probably go shopping for clothes for LO after the shower once we see what we need.?

  • I think it'd be a good idea to put basic onesies on there.  Especially if you want a specific brand.  My friend warned me about Gerber onesies because they run small.  She showed me a 3-6 mos Gerber onesie and it looked like it was for an anorexic baby.
  • I may register for some, but I learned from my friends and SIL that if people want to buy you a baby outfit, they buy what they like/want. A lot of them registered for clothes and didn't get the clothes they registered for.

Sometimes it's also hard at some stores b/c the clothes don't show up with a picture when you print out the registry, it just shows up as a brief description (i.e. animal onsie) and the upc code. It can be very vague and it makes it difficult for people to find exactly what you're looking for.

  • It depends because you're going to have some people who show up at the baby shower and decided to ignore your registry list all together. And ya it's a given that people will shop for baby clothes. But then there are some people who are registry strict and will only pick things off of your baby registry. It's not a crime to not register for clothes. But I say along with the big item stuff, register for lower cost items like bottles, diapers or toys (if you feel that you don't want to register for clothes).

  • I put a few basic items like plain onsies, booties/socks and a good winter hat.
  • i only registred for onsies, no clothes...i really want people to buy the big items on my registry...i want to buy the clothes myself, because im picky, and dont see the need to have a lot of clothes and no car seat, pack n play, monitor, etc...im also adding a gift card option on my registry...that way i can buy whatever i want
  • i'm putting standard onesies and stuff, but nothing specific for outfits or clothes.
