Re: Anyone not really into doing the Baby stuff yet?
I'm on baby #2, and I'm just starting to get into the baby stuff. I was like you up until a couple of weeks ago--just kind of going along as the weeks passed. Once I found out we're having a boy, I kind of kicked into gear, because we have to decorate a boy nursery now, and we need a few things for a boy. So that kind of made the difference for me. Even if we were having another girl, I think I was just kind of holding off until I knew what we were having. I'd still be shopping for a few new things if we were having another girl!
So, yeah, I don't think that's too unusual. Once you already have at least one child, you're kind of involved with that one, and the pregnancy seems to take a bit of a back seat. I'm sure I'll be doing plenty of nesting when we get closer to due!
this is my first baby and although i'm excited at the fact of having a baby, i'm not at all interested in buying anything. one of my friend's has already overwhelmed me with giving me stuff. i had my own mini shower from her during my 1st trimester and she gave me more my 2nd trimester. she told me she went to BRU the day i registered and that her and her mom were going shopping this past weekend. um, hello...chill! i know she is super excited and i'm happy people want to buy the baby things, but you don't need to tell me and you can wait to give it to me at the shower.
i know i will be excited when my showers are approaching and i will want to buy things, just not at this time. lol!! sorry for venting.
