Golf ball size lump in right breast

What do you think it is? I don't think it's a clogged duct b/c I've had that and it was just pea sized. This is much bigger and it's been there since this morning. I've tried pumping and massaging it and it won't go away.

  • I have a cyst about that size in my left breast. Could that be it?

It just started this morning, I think a cyst would not appear that soon, I don't know.

  • Mine was pretty tiny during pregnancy and got HUGE while I was breastfeeding.  Can you move it around? Does it hurt?  Lumps can be scary, im sorry!
  • sounds like a clogged duct to me

  • I have no idea, but a golf ball sized lump can't be good.  I'd call your doctor and try to get in tomorrow.  Better safe than sorry!

  • I had one on both breasts at the same time and they were golf ball sized and then they slowly started to go down and are gone now.  The doctor said they were either clogged ducts or cysts and they both popped up over night.
  • I had 2 pop up like that 4 weeks after I quit bf. Tried to pump, massage, cabbage all that...they turned out to be milk duct cysts and I had to see a breast surgeon to get aspirated out, which was not too bad. Took less than 5 minutes for her to get rid of them. She told me that I could have pumped all day and I would have never gotten them out bc the milk was too thick.
  • Does it hurt?

I got a fibroadenoma and it didn't hurt at all.  I thought it was a clogged duct at first but it stuck around.  They're pretty common in breastfeeding and pregnant women, they're pretty much noncancerous tumors that are caused by hormone fluctations.  I had to get an ultrasound to confirm what was and keep an eye on it.

Call your doctor to have yourself checked out!
