My cycles have been so irregular after DS. I have been going through infertility testing since it's been 10months now of trying... Hoping this is the month, but not sure what day to test at home without taking a test everyday.
You could either chart your basal body temperatures every day or use a fertility monitor. The monitor is less of a hassle and it worked for us on the first try. But I had also charted temps before using the monitor and that was also a very good way to pinpoint ovulation day. The ovulation predictor kits are good too but not as accurate. GL with TTC!
Me: 44 DH: 42.
DS born healthy at 40 weeks 8/24/09.
TTC since then with no luck or ART.
Surprise BFP 8/6/14... MMC @ 8 weeks 4 days... Miss you everyday sweet baby angel.
I used to buy them in bulk packs of 50 opk's and 5 hpt's.
They're just the test strips - no plastic shell - but they work just fine.
GL to you.
I hope you hit the target this cycle!
Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
I have done both of the above. This time around, while it was hard to temp regularly, I was able to get it in enough to get a good read on ovulating. I swear by it. At least for me.
I tried charting and the internet cheapo tests. Both methods didn't work for me - they both never told me that I o'd. However, the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor worked the first month I used it - got pregnant with DD! I tried the internet cheapo tests that same month and they still said I didn't o.

Re: TTC- I hate not knowing when I ovulated!
Been there, done that.
If you'd like a better idea have you considered trying buying OPK test strips in bulk?
You can get them for less than .50 a piece by ordering them online.

Google "cheap opks" or "cheap pregnancy tests"
