What kinds of toys and stuff did you register for? I know we should register for a swing but beyond that I'm kind of lost. I have Baby Bargains but didn't find it really helpful for this.
We didn't register for any toys. I figure that toys are the kind of small thing that people will just buy. That being said, this is our first regisrty, and we really had no idea what we were doing
Big toys: swing, bouncy chair, playmat and exersaucer/jumperoo. They are all great for the first 6 months.
Small toys: the FP seahorse!!!! I also registered for things like blocks (with the shapes cut out of the lid), stackable rings and a few talking toys like the laugh and learn puppy.

Have you read through a registry list? The stores provide one...then think about what on that list you actually want - a Boppy, swing, swaddling blankets, different bottles, diapers, the brand of baby shampoo etc you're going to use, play mat, baby hangers, crib sheets, changing pad/covers, paci's...
I would not register for toys or clothes - I think people will just give those.
yeah I have the things off the list - sheets and boppy and stuff. I just didn't know in terms of other things that I wasn't thinking about that babies like. None of our close friends have babies yet so we haven't spent much time around babies so we feel kind of clueless on some of it.
I will be putting toys on my list because they are more inexpensive items you can add. I dont want all big ticket items. As for toys I would look and babies r us reviews to see what other moms/dads said.
