Anyone heard of ICP???

I was just wondering if any of you have heard of ICP intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy. If so, do you know anybody who has had this condition. I have been itching like crazy on every inch of my body but mostly my hands and feet. It keeps me up half the night. At first my doctor told me to take benedryl and then she told me to take a bath with baking soda and use hydrocortizone cream. This did not seem to help. I went to my doctor on Thursday and she did blood work. I have no rash and it seems to get worse at night. She suspects that it may be ICP which from what she told me can sometimes happen with pregnant women but is rare. Basically due to the extra estrogen and progesterone, in some women, the liver stops being able to filter all the fats and absord some vitamins and leaves excess bile in your blood. The bile causes an allergic reaction which causes the itching. She then told me not to worry until we confirm. I asked her what would happen if this is what it is and she said they would give me medication to aid the liver and they would start giving the baby steriods around 32 weeks for his lungs and induce between 35-36 weeks. 

 I looked up the disorder online and it was talking about all kinds of harmful effects. Higher chance of stillbirth, that's why they induce as early as possible. I am really freaking out now!

 So, does anybody know anything else about this disorder or does anybody know anybody who has had this and what their results were?

Sorry no info for you but I wanted to comment that when I saw the post heading I?immediately?thought of Insane Clown Posse. Wow who ever thought they would see that on a bump board?
