Baby Bargain?

I am starting to research cribs, strollers, etc. and was wondering what resources people find the best? I have heard of baby bargain, is that a magazine? Also, what do you think about consumer reports? TIA!

Just get the baby bargains book.  It is very thick and has tons of reviews.  BETTER than consumer reports IMO.  Cheap too.  Sold at any book store.

I checked my copy out of the library. Be sure to get the 8th edition, it is the most recent, came out in June.

I used the Baby Bargains book.  There is a sample registry in the back that I found invaluable!  I even registered online from bed.  It did all the research for me  

I did take a look at consumer reports online to see if my choices from Baby Bargains were good and they were.  I only changed my pack n play because of a better rated one for only $20 more.

It's a thick paperback book. The 8th edition has a green cover. It's on Amazon.I got my copy at Buy Buy Baby.

baby bargains is the best..if you dont want to buy it you can take it out the library..consumer reports suckssss dont waste your money on it..

I've been using the Baby Bargains book in addition to consumer reports and the reviews on babies r us and target's websites (I tend to overresearch big purchases). I love Baby Bargains, it has been really helpful as a first time mom.

No such thing as over-researching!

I also like to look for reviews outside the book on these sites and Amazon. The book is a great resource, though - I've actually started keeping it in my purse. We were out one day last week, my husband pointed to a crib that he liked and asked if we wanted to go ahead and get it today. I whipped out the book and found that the crib maker has had the worst recall history in the last few years.

I've been using Baby Bargains, plus have talked to friends with kids (none of them recommend gerber clothes for example) and my pediatrician.
