I was talking to my friend (doula, Lactation consultant) today and I don't know how we got on the subject of this but she was telling me that her daughter gets ear infections often yet has never been on antibiotics. (say what?)
She said that instead of antibiotics, she would put a few drops of breast milk in her DD's ear and it has natural healing properties that help kill off the infection!
sure enough, I have been googling this and it's supposedly true! I'm SOOOO going to do this next time I suspect an ear infection.
and I'm going to freeze some BM in ice cube trays so that after we're done nursing, I can thaw a little at a time.

I get ear infections at least 3 times a year and have since I was little (even though I was breastfed for the first 6 months of my life) so would it be weird if I did this to myself once my milk comes in?
Hey if it works, I have no problems with it!
you could definitely try it!
