So I started taking prenatal vitamins this week and I'm on my 3rd day. I took my 1st one at night time and then I didnt take one the 2 day, but the past 2 days I have been taking them in the morning after I eat breakfast. I have been so nauseated and haven't wanted to eat. It's coming and going in spurts, but every time I feel like I need to burp I feel like I'm gonna get sick. Have vitamins made anyone else sick? Is this a common side effect of them?
It is common for vitamins to make you sick. I always take mine at night when I go to bed. I put them by the toothpaste so I'll remember when I brush my teeth.

& Amelia ~ 03/16/11 ~ 8 lbs, 1 oz ~ 21 in.
Yep when I first started taking mine I was taking them in the morning and they made me nauseated. So I switched to taking them at night and no more nausea. I just leave them on my bathroom counter so I'll remember them.
I have never had an stomach problems with the Target brand PNVs. I have heard of some Rx PNVs making people feel sick. I would try taking them at night like pps said. If not look into changing. Good luck.
I was taking a OTC vitamin, and now I am trying all different kinds from my obgyn...(she literally gave my a sack full of different kinds), but I liked Neevo (I think that's what they were called, I did have several different kinds that were called Neevo, but I didn't burp them up later, but they were an RX (but so much more expensive than OTC ones). I know how you feel though, I am testing different ones right now.
I had that problem when I was pregnant with K. It didn't matter what time of day I took them or what I took with them. (It really could have just been the constant nausea I had for 18 weeks and not the pills) But regular vitamins do it to me even when I'm not pregnant so I dunno.
I got some PNV at Walmart the other day and they actually don't make me feel sick. I'm still a little shocked at that. So maybe try out a different brand?
Also...I want to say I heard taking them with milk can help. I could be totally wrong...but couldn't hurt

If it helps, take them with food. That's what I had to do.
I also had to switch from prescription to OTC because I couldn't stomach them.
