Hi,
Just wondering if anyone had any good suggestions for indoor activities for toddlers. I have two 17 month olds, and it has been raining all week, they are getting bored with their toys etc. I have tried some craft projects like coloring and finger painting, plus lots of story time. What are your toddlers favorite rainy day activities? Thanks in advance!!
Re: Toddler activities
I really recommend the book "Toddlers Busy Book" by Trish Kuffner. LOTS of easy ideas.
DS loves to dance to music. I put the cable music channel(or even just the radio) on and he loves it. Blowing bubbles is another one.
That is all I can think of right now.
This winter, I plan to get a plastic storage box (like an under the bed box) and fill it with lentil beans and give DD cups, spoons, funnels, etc to play with.
We like to make tents with a sheet and chairs/furniture. We also have tunnels - so much fun!
I have a few great toddler 'action' cd's. They are full of songs that include motions. Marching, spinning, raising their hands, squatting. My kids have always loved these. I dance with them and they follow me. It's also great exercise. If you are interested just pm me and I'll go find the names of them.
My son loves playing in a tub of beans. And, I make tents too, he loves crawling threw them.
