OK, so last night, DH and I gave Giselle her first bath since her stump fell off. We are bad parents!
For starters, I WISH they would put a marker on the tub to indicate how much water to fill it to. The instructions merely state not to put too much water. Being first time parents, we dont know how much is too much. We dont know that if you put the baby in it, the water level will rise significantly bc its a tall narrow tub.
With that said, we gathered all her bath items, made sure the water was warn. We put her in....and at first, she looved it. You should have seen the look on her face. But we were still holding her. So then I let her go.
And she goes face forward in the water a takes a BIG gulp of water. Then the look on her face turns to fear. My poor baby was so scared. I hated seeing her like that!
So then, with DHs help, we lower the tub to the floor where we can properly hold her and we scoop lots of water out so she can sit comfortably. Then she was chill again....until we washed her hair.
Well, after we changed her, I rocked her in the chair and she fell fast asleep! I cant wait to try again...we'll do much better.
But in a nutshell, the tub is great but I think they need to stress:
1) the water level
2) to make sure the tub is on the floor so you can handle your LO properly
Re: Prince Lionheart bath pod review
If you are bad parents for this then we are bad parents too. We waited until she was over 3 weeks to give her first bath - that is over a week after the stump fell off!
Poor G!! IT will go much better the next time
nonono not bad parents, GREAT parents, we waited about 3wks as well...I just wanted to be extra careful! (honestly, I was scared)
