2nd Trimester

I could scream... (NBR) kind of long

I know a lot of it is hormones for me, but DH and I have been stressed lately.  DH has had to travel overseas to London for 2 weeks/month (there now) so I have been left to handle stuff here.  We also are planning a move out of state to TX in the next 2 months so dealing with that and trying to find a new home.  I'm trying  to pack, deal with getting our condo ready to rent, work FT, and, oh yeah--growing a human!

Anyway, DH ordered a stove and dishwasher for our condo here which was to be delivered this morning.  They are installing the stove today and dishwasher tomorrow (why not both at the same time?! Makes no sense!).  DH ordered the new model of the same stove we had before thinking that would be fine and did some measurements. They delivered it--late BTW--and installed the new stove, only to tell me that it doesn't fit flush with the back and sticks out a bit in front and there's a gap in back. I try to stay calm and rationalize that we can get some kind of seal/cover for the gap.  Then I see the real problem--our kitchen is an "L" shape and now with the stove sticking out in front we can't open our dishwasher, it hits the stove!!!  AHH!! Since they are supposed to install the new dishwasher tomorrow I have no idea how they will be able to get it out/new installed if we can't even open the door!!  The delivery guys seemed unmoved by my dilemma and my tears and left.  DH is on his way home flying from London now for a week(thank goodness!) so I can't call him. Guess he'll be coming home to a surprise!

Thanks for letting me vent...

  • Wow, that is a lot to deal with.  Will the place you purchased the appliances from exchange for something else that fits?  Take them the measurements and let them find you something that works.  Good luck, I know you are ready for your dh to be home:)
