I don't know... I am now starting to get worried about it after all of the news. I need to talk to my pedi though. I think that DH and I will get all of the vax (however, I am hoping to be PG this winter so I don't know how that will effect it), but I don't know about DS yet. He goes to daycare so I am worried about that.
They are reccomendin anyone within the high risks groups to get both the H1N1 vaccine and the regular Flu Vaccine this year because the regular Flu Vaccine does not protect against H1N1.
I will be getting both shots as will DS and DH.
DH works in ths schools which puts us at a higher risk!

I will have DD get it once she is 6 months. It will be right around the time they release the vaccine. I dont' want to take any chances. DH and I are both going to get it as well - we will pretty much have to due to our jobs.
We are doing all flu vaccines (regular and Swine....). I am a teacher, DS goes to daycare and we will have a newborn in the house come November. Even if we weren't going to have the baby, we would still all be getting it.
However.....my friend just got back from a pedi appt (we go to the same office....) and our doc said they don't know yet how it will be administered b/c it may only be delivered to schools and the health dept......should be interesting!
Audrey got half of the regular flu shot at her six month appt and will get the other half in a few weeks. I asked about the H1N1 vac and they didn't have enough information on it to really comment. He didn't know when they'd get it, how much they'd get, or who would qualify for it. My husband is super worried about it though, and I'm sure if it's possible he'll find a way for her to get it!
We will all be getting the reg. flu shot and the swine flu shot (me, DH, and Ben). Ben is not in day care and we plan on keeping him home most of the time this winter, but I don't want to take a chance. I teach kindergarten so I'm definitely at risk.

Re: Moms of 6mths +..Swine flu vac??
I'll be signing up to get it as soon as possible. My DH travels to Mexico all the time and just last week brought me home the stomach flu.
I'll tell you what, I am very tempted to quit EP, but this is the reason I am going to keep at it for as long as I can.
