okay, maybe I am just hormonal and being pregnancy crazy but I have been silently freaking out about this since my NT scan...
At our first ultrasound, the baby was measuring 2 days behind where we thought it should be... no big deal... then at the NT scan it was 5 days behind... I am 16 weeks today and not showing anything more than bloat... I wouldn't normally be THAT worried about this, except that both FI and I are tall (me-5'9 him-6'4) and were large babies (me- 9lbs 12oz, him 9lbs 10oz)...
I have been having dreams that I end up having a little person baby, or something is wrong with it or that I am not eating eough or something... Maybe I am just freaking out, but I have an appointment next week for my 16 week appointment and I am going to ask to do an ultrasound to make sure everything is okay and that the baby is growing ok... Fingers crossed the comply with me!
Re: Baby measurements
Were your measurements made at different places, on different machines, by different people? I suspect so, and in that case - I really wouldn't worry.
My peri (who did the NT scan) told me that these measurements have an error factor of +/- 7 days. 7 days!!! Basically, your tech or doctor is choosing a point on the head and a point on the rump to measure between. Millimeters to the left or right of the points they choose can yield a different age measurement. At that size, so early on, millimeters mean days.
I wouldn't fret just yet. Everybody carries babies differently. I'm showing more than a couple of my friends who are an entire month ahead of me!
