Wiggles on my left hand side

So people keep describing baby's movements as flutterings. I am getting full on jolts and a "wiggle" feeling like baby is shaking something. They started as pokes under my bellybutton but now they are full jiggles to the left of my bellybutton. I am assuming this is my wee man moving around but it gives me a shock sometimes as the movements are so huge! has anyone else felt anything like this or could it just be trapped gas etc and not baby at all?

I apparently missed the whole 'flutter' stage too.  My little girl has been moving since 19 1/2 wks for me inconsistently until about a week ago.  She has a routine that I am starting to know now and they are full on kicks and spins...(spins are new to me though...ugh...queasy**)  I think for some of us feeling things 'later' (I know average is 20wks) that we miss the beginning stages due to either not noticing/knowing or just not being able to feel them...  This makes that quick progression from a few first movements to kicks crazy fast seeming!

Yes!  I didn't get flutters either, just bubbles and a goldfish feeling (I just posted this a little bit ago).  It is kind of shocking, I think because it's involuntary!

These movements do not have a routine really, I should see if I can make them happen somehow. But mostly it just feels so large of a movement. The flutter stage definitely didn't happen first, this boy obviously is going to be a soccer player!
