Wipes..

How long do you think 500 wipes will last for a newborn?

I'm trying to decide how much stockpiling I can do without being excessive.

Re: Wipes..

  • 2 mos or so.  you'll use wipes the whole time baby/child is in diapers so you can never have enough.

  • Newborns, a awhile...

A toddler on the other hand, a week.  JK..LOL

  • Ha-ha.  I'm just asking becuase I found a really awesome deal on them at this store called "Grocery Outlet."  They're Huggies brand and I got 500 wipes for 4.99.

I'm wondering if I should go back and buy more.

  • Ooooo.....Huggies are my FAV wipes!! They are nice and thick..Go and get more!!
  • Ok!  How many would be enough to last me for how long?  I have no clue how quickly they are used!
  • At that price I would definitely get 5 or 6 boxes, I'm all about stock piling. I looked the other day at target and they were on sale for $11.99, I don't think they had 500 either.

Buy more, you can never have enough wipes, plus you may find wipes useful for wiping there face and/or body off when a cloth isnt nearby. I would stock up as much as I could.

  • Okey doke!  I'll be heading back over there this weekend. Thanks!
  • They are also amazing at getting deodorant off a black shirt.

    Oh, snap! good to know!

  • 1000 Huggies wipes at Costco is $34.99 so I would say you are getting an awesome deal!

  • I just bought a case at Sam's (I think it has 500 or so) and it was $15.  I am all about stocking up.  I would probably buy as many cases as they would let me & go back for more if that number was low... or take DH and have him buy some.  You can't even come close to beating $5!

  • Just FYI, I was allergic to baby wipes as a baby. Even now as an adult I can't use wipes on my bottom or vagina unless I want to be chapped and bleeding. Even the unscented ones leave me hurting, I think it's something in the make up of the wipe.

I was going to mention this. I would hold off and see if your baby can handle that brand/type of wipes. My DD can only use 1 type of wipes. If any other wipes are used on her, she gets diaper rash so bad she bleeds. And we did figure out it was the wipes...
