logging output

today is my first day back at work, so my first day to spend any real time pumping.  I created an excel spreadsheet to track my pumping.  I figure it will help me establish and maintain a routine at work (re what times and how long to pump) and will help me recognize any supply issues that develop.  Anyone else this obsessive about their pumping output?  The excel file tracks time of day, minutes, and ounces pumped.  Should there be anything else that I log?

Re: logging output

  • I'm this obsessive toO, but probably more!  LOL. I BF, but also pump in order to build supply and HOPEFULLY be able to create a stash in the future.  I just use a mini-notebook so I can keep it next to my glider - though I've honestly thought of transferring it to the computer so I could turn it into charts/graphs etc.  What can I say...seeing improvement is so rewarding when I've struggled with supply.

I track Day and time that I pump, how many minutes, and how many ml per side (yes, ml since I don't always get ounces).  I also track day and time of BFing - which side, how many minutes - and then if I supplement with BM, BM fortified with neosure, or just formula and how much.
