3D Ultrasound Question

When are you too far along to get a 3D ultrasound?

I know that might sound strange, but someone told me before that when they got their's done the baby was already so big that it just looked all squished and you couldn't see much.

I am trying to figure out when to schedule mine and I don't want this to be the case.

I've heard 28 - 30 weeks is perfect.  After that the baby has so little room to move around.  I am going at about 29 weeks.

We are getting our done next wed. when I will be mid 27th week. Thats when our ultrasound place told us was the best. Between 27 and 28 for the best face pics, after that they start to get really mashed in there and its hard tosee their features as clearly.

I got mine done last week and I'm going to get it again at around 27 weeks!

My hospital does them only between 30-32 weeks.  They said any earlier, the baby is too small and it freaks parents out, any later, the baby is too big.

I was told between 27 and 32 weeks. I am scheduled at almost 30 weeks. I am so excited!!!
