I saw the CNN show where they were talking about the Intelligender Test and that it was 80% accurate. I'm thinking about trying it... It's only $35. I figured it would be fun if nothing else.. I have my big ultrasound in like 7 or 8 weeks. So I was just wondering if anyone has tried this and how their results turned out!
Re: Has anyone tried Intelligender?
Someone posts about this about 3 times a week now.
I did it for fun, it was right. Might have been coincidence. We waited until our 16w gender scan to confirm.
if it's "only" $35 to you, pay me and Ill give you the same accuracy-
some call it psychic- I call it 50/50
I took the test twice. I even emailed pics to the company. Both the tests and the company said I had a girl result.
Our ultrasound shows we're having a boy.
I guess we'll know for SURE when the LO is born!
I was going to buy it, because the place that sells it would take the cost of the test off of a gender determination u/s (that I was already getting from my doc, but anyway...)....I read the FAQs, and they said it's not recommended for anyone with PCOS or taking Progesterone because you can get a false boy reading. My friend took it, and it was wrong...I would just wait....as patiently as you can
OMG! I love you!
It was right for Kendra and Hank. LOL. People usually say it is a waste of money. I mean you're not going to go and buy girl or boy baby stuff based on that are you?
Most people say just save your $35 and wait like everyone else does.
This.... exactly the same for me!
I LOL at all the silly answers on here, like "Pay me 50/50 and I'll guess for you." Not because they're actually funny, but they're kinda ridiculous. I don't know how exactly it works, but I give the intelligender people a little more credit than 50/50. But who knows.
We did it just for fun and because I was curious and couldn't wait to find out something! Ours said boy, and while it hasn't been confirmed, my ultrasound techs at my 12 week and 16 week ultrasounds both said "I think it's a boy!" And that's pretty much what Intelligender does, just gives you a lean one way or another.
And I love how everybody is all concerned about $35... as if they've never ever wasted $35 in their life.
This. Its a 50/50 chance of it being right. just like us taking a guess.
So I went out and "wasted" $35 on the test...but I'm sure people have wasted $35 on other stupid crap. I think its gonna be fun to see, and Im not going to buy anything after taking the test, I'm just curious to see what it says. I'm gonna take it in the morning and see what it says...
I was reading on the box that it says if you have sex within 48 hours of taking the test it can give you a false boy result, and it said if you don't do the first morning urine it can also give you a false boy... I don't know if everyone reads the directions, and i'm certainly not saying that if you follow the directions to a t that you're going to get an accurate result, I just thought I'd let everyone know that in case someone does decide to get it and try it out!
I agree! We took it at about 12 weeks and followed the directions implicitely. We used did it first thing in the morning and it said Boy! We had our U/S at 18 weeks and confirmed, very much a boy. Now I must say that by default, the boy HCg levels are stronger so some have said they have had a boy result when the U/S said girl, but that depends on the woman and the baby. It is far more accurate than "50/50". Give them some credit, there is some science involved. It is fun, don't paint the nursery or start telling everyone a name but it is good to stop calling him/her "it".Good luck! Do it! Don't stress about it & just have fun!
P.S. Pregnancy tests are 50/50 yet WE ALL TOOK THOSE DIDNT WE?!
