38 week appointment update

Hey Ladies!

    So, I'm still pregnant, but hopefully for not too much longer.  Most of you know I was starting to dilate at 34 weeks, put on bedrest, all that jazz.  I am currently 38 weeks.  I was checked at my appointment today and I'm now 5 cm dilated, and 80% effaced.  The doctor things it cant be much longer, so hopefully, things will kick it up a notch soon.  She said if i start to contract that I should call after an hour of frequent and consistent contractions because once I start, it should be pretty quick.  She was like, "Wow, that head is really far down and ready to go!"  It would be great to have her on a weekend that way we have more people who can help with Eli, plus, my mom has off tomorrow.  She did say if i wanted to I could schedule an induction and they could break my water next week, but I declined.  We will see what will happen.  Hopefully my body will go ahead and get into labor, haha.  Hope all my other preggy pals are doing well.

Sounds like you are getting close. I can?t believe how fast time is flying for all of us now. It seems like you were just telling us that you were pregnant!

Wow, sounds like you're SOOO close!  Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Incidentally, I have been at 1 cm for a few weeks now.  I'm thinking you'll have your LO much sooner than I will!!
