Hiccups?

What causes hiccups?  Any way to prevent the baby from getting them?  Thanks?

    Hiccups are caused by breathing in too much air at a time. There is no way to prevent them. They actually do not bother baby the way that they bother us. You can always use Little Tummy's Gripe Water to treat them if they are bothersome to her.

    B gets them all the time. If she has them for a while, she will start fussing so I give her a little of the Gripe Water and it takes them away every time.
