...about a jacket/coat? I wasn't sure if purchasing a maternity coat would be a smart purchase or not since I'm due in December. But it has the potential to be mighty chilly by November/December...
i do have a maternity sweater duster...wonder if that would be enough?
Re: Late fall / winter mommies...what are you going to do?
We live in Northern Cali, I'll probably get a heavier jacket.
But you'll want to have some room post-partum, too. So keep that in mind. And doesn't it get COLD in Jersey?
I don't plan to buy a coat. I am hoping for a mild winter... if so I will wear my old coat opened.
If not - I will hold out until I will have no choice but to buy a maternity coat on Ebay. (that or borrow from my mother - who is larger than I).
This. I'll probalby button only one button if it gets too chilly.
It makes me feel better that dionnemd is from MN...I'm in MN and due early Dec. but I know the belly won't get smaller anytime soon after I give birth and Jan./Feb. are the coldest months here! Maybe I'll try the heavy maternity sweater under the coat thing and hope it works! I better start looking for a good priced sweater!
I live in Michigan...near the lake...I will be getting a coat!
This! I have like 12 winter coats in my closet, I refuse to spend more money on a new one.
No, we can't have a winter like the last one!! It was too dang cold
I will keep my eye out for bargains, but I'm actually planning to start scouring goodwilll to see about an XL winter coat so I dont' have to spend a fortune on it.

Me too. But it doesn't really get "cold" till January anyway. Cold=60 degree high

This! And I have also threatened to steal DH's Northface. I hate buying coats. Damn MI winters!
Looks like we are due around the same time, and let me say I am so nervous about having a winter like last year! Due date on Christmas and last year the week before we had 12 inches of snow in our yard! I'm really hoping not to have to drive to the hospital in my DHs lifted pickup...
