I thought it felt like someone taking a finger and swiping it across my lower stomach.  Like if you swipe your tongue across the inside of your cheek, but only in one tiny spot and only for like a second.  Now it feels like someone is tapping against my inside.  I don't remember it feeling like gas, more like flutters or little taps.
