We have hardwoods through out our house. Up until this week I would use our shop vac to vacume the floor and every once in a while borrow my mom's Dyson (that I love) to do the floors. I honestly swiffer daily. Hard woods are tough to keep dust free.
So I went to Lowes and got a vacuum yesterday I put it together and DUMBEST invention ever...
It blew air forward out of the front where you vacuum. So I was CHASING DUST around my house. UGH you have got to be kidding me. Took it back got a different one put it together and... IT DOES THE SAME THING!
Have I missed something in Vacuum design lately? Is this the new thing?
Please rec your vacuum b/f I give up and shop vac for the rest of my life. As much as I love my mom's Dyson the $350 price range is just not in our budget now. TIA
Re: NBR: Recommend your Vacuum.
For hardwoods, we use our Roomba. Technically it's not a vacuum (it sweeps into its container), but it's better than anything we've used on our hardwoods, especially for the ridiculous amount of dog hair and dust that we have.
We have an upright - a Hoover Elite - for our one carpeted room, and that seems okay.
