If you mostly trim (not completely bare), what tool do you use for trimming? Have you started using something different during pregnancy? I know someone the other day mentioned scissors??....
I get regular waxes and then trim with scissors but lately I cannot so much see what I'm doing and this morning trimmed myself a little bald spot. Sweet.

I wouldn't use scissors on something that I couldn't see!
I use a trimmer and it works pretty good. I use a mirror in the shower to shave my bikini area. I'm thinking about getting a wax before my due date. But we'll see if my chicken self will actually make an appointment.

LOL... did this last month and have since stopped trying to trim... getting my wax on by a professional now!

I used to do the scissors thing pre-preg, but have kinda let things go lately. I've also been trying to work up the courage to make an appt for a wax.
If you haven't been waxing all along, I wouldn't recommend to start now!
The first time you wax will be the most painful because all of your hair is the same length. As you continue to wax, your hair grows in at different times, so you typically aren't pulling as many hairs each time... hope that makes sense the way it was written.
If you do decide to get waxed, I would suggest just doing a bikini wax up to the joint where your leg meets your crotch, and not going any further as the increased blood flow make it more sensitive than it would otherwise be. (Meaning, just wax the leg portion)

I second this! I've been waxing for years, and now the hair hardly even grows anymore. But those first few times are awful.
I have a wax scheduled for this Sat. Last 2x I did it (while pg) it didn't really hurt that much, well until towards the end. But even that wasn't so bad. I haven't been good and done it regularly but even so I have noticed less hair coming back and slower too. Totally worth it. I just wish I could do it all the way...maybe after labor it won't seem so painful lol!
Re: Another "ladyscaping" post
Yeah that scissor post scared me!
I haven't changed..other than not being able to see what I'm doing. I've just slowed down the process and take my time now!
