I'm starting to look into nursery furniture and would like to know what options are out there. So far I've looked at BRU and some shops online but was wondering what other options there are. TIA.
jcpenny. I love the crib we got from there. It doesn't look cheap at all! I hated how some of the cribs you could see all the screw holes!! Down side is you have toorder on;line. they don't have any in stock.
I got mine from Walmart. The shipping was the cheapest I could find anywhere, and they had a lot of the same stuff as BRU. They also have free site to store shipping.

We got ours from Walmart. The quality is just as good that you find at some of the other stores and the price is almost half of what you find elsewhere. I just always read the reviews first to know how others liked it.
JCPenney. They have good sales and often have free shipping codes when you ship to a store and pickup.
They don't keep anything in stock, but our crib and changer came in 1 week, AND they had to do a transfer from another distribution center since our local one did not have the crib in stock.
Our changer can unassembled though. FYI--If you choose a design with an assembled dresser/changer, they won't ship to a store.
JCPenney.com. Very happy--great quality, outstanding customer service. We ordered our stuff on a Wednesday and it arrived on Friday afternoon. As noted, have to order online, nothing in stock. Someone said the assembled dresser won't ship to store, but check into it as it might vary by location--I was able to have both the crib and dresser delivered to the store. In all I paid $100 for shipping, but saved more than that on the sale price of the furniture and still feel it was a good deal.
Havent ordered it yet, but plan to in the next few weeks.

We got ours at a store called Cradles and All in a suburb of Chicago. I knew I wanted Munire furniture, so I looked on their site to see what retailers carried it in our area. There were 3 stores that did, so I called and went to order at the one that was nicest and gave the best customer service on the phone, plus they had the best flat delivery rate and gave us a percentage off for buying more than 3 pieces.

Our set is from Raymour & Flanigan. ?They carried the dresser, but not the other 2 pieces we wanted (the?armoire?and the crib.) ?We were able to have them special order the other pieces.
If I was ordering the furniture myself, I probably would've gone to BRU. ?But my parents wanted to buy the furniture and insisted on R&F.?
We ordered our crib and conversion rails from simplybabyfurniture.com. We're going to get our dresser and glider from either Target or Wal-Mart online.

Conversion crib= $250.00 @ Target
Full dresser (which we will use as a changing table) = $500.00 @ Jordan's Furniture (large furniture store in the North East)
We wanted to buy furniture that our LO could grow up with, so that is why we made the choices we did.

I ordered the Tori Collection from JCPenny. Looooove it!
And I have to disagree with the PP....we have a fully assembled changing table and dresser and they delivered it to the store no problem.
Also love the fact that the hardware is hidden and that it is solid wood. HATE seeing screw holes like PP saidl
Walmart. And maybe a piece or two from Buy Buy Baby,

JC Penney - for my son, we ordered a crib, changer and dresser. I plan to order another crib for Baby#2.
