Shhh, I'm bouncing over here to post for the evening. And this post is probably more like a 2nd tri post, but those people should just be medicated.

Our big u/s is next week. I'd prefer to have another surprise baby, DH got all excited about possibly finding out this time and wants to know. So I'll give him this one. He keeps telling me that we'll get to prepare more and shop more ahead of time. So I know that'll be a nice plus.

I've been shopping around for winter items for DS, and we have the big resales coming up so I'll be ready for those. I guess as I'm looking for DS I'm wondering if I'll have everything I'll need for Baby YooHoo, or if I can pick out some girl pieces. So I guess I'm starting to get used to the idea. 

Any other big pluses to finding out baby's sex? I worry if we find out early that we're having a girl the grandparents are going to start going nuts shopping and will be able to that much sooner. (Ok, not the worst thing in the world, be still). I think I just like having a surprise. I like that it annoys some people that they can't know early too. I love to be uncooperative, I'm hoping Baby YooHoo does too

We are having a surprise this time.  It was easier to wait since we already have stuff for either sex.  I love not knowing and cannot wait until the baby is here to find out.

We had a surprise w/our first & found out with our second.  My main 'fear' was that it wouldn't be as special as finding out on the day our first was born & that anticipation of what she was going to be.  I also thought that I'd probably be more excited if it was a boy next time, but just sort of 'been there, done that' if it was another girl....

However, when I had my big u/s and heard it was another girl, I was soooo happy I started bawling & didn't stop!  I was truly elated & called people crying & laughing right away, I couldn't hold it in.  It really was awesome!

It was so neat to call my little boy by name even before he was born. And my mom was really really hoping I was having a girl. So it gave her time to adjust to it being a boy. Plus I got to actually buy cute little boy things, I would do it again in a heart beat.

we found out with Carson and we will with the next one, we both can't deal with the wait for a suprise.  but one thing we did do with Carson was keep the name to ourselves until he was born - we told no one and that was enough to drive both of our families crazy.  but i also loved finding out the sex b/c i felt like i bonded with the thought of having a son and knowing his name and all that jazz.  gl!

We found out with DD #1 and I wanted DC #2 to be a surprise.  DH agreed, and I caved during the ultrasound and we found out!  I'm so glad we did...only because I was secretly hoping for a boy...found out it was another girl and was able to appreciate my DC for who she is )  I also love that we can tell DD #1 that she is having a baby "sister."  That seems to intensify the bond with her instead of just saying the baby, all the time.  Congrats and good luck with whatever you decide!

We found out with DD because I had my heart set on having a girl and always had.  Now that we already had a girl, I'm perfectly happy with whatever God chooses to give us.  The next one will definitely be a surprise. I think it'll make things a lot more fun.

We were both on the fence if we wanted to know or not.  We had the u/s lady write it on a piece of paper and put it in a sealed security envelope.  About a week later, DH and I sat together in the living room and opened it up - just the two of us.  However, we did not tell ANYONE that we knew.  All family and friends thought it was a surprise and we didn't know.  THAT was a lot of fun for us - listening to their guesses and reasoning while we knew what was really going on.  The main reason we did that is b/c my dad (who was and is pretty sick) didn't want to know.  We figured if we told anyone, it would get back to him.  All girly stuff we bought (just a few things), we hid.  The nursery we did neutral and wanted it that way no matter what.

So why dont you let him find out and you could still not know, tell everyone to just hold their gifts...that way everyone could have their way, DH could know, family could shop and YOU could still be surprised....Could you handle that??? LOL

Why don't you and your DH find out and then just tell people that you aren't going to tell until the baby comes   It could be your secret?

Ya right, cause DH and everyone else would actually keep it a secret from me. DH could barely keep it a secret when we found out we were pregnant. I always know what I'm getting for Christmas too, even though I love surprises.
