Bed Rest help.

I posted yesterday that my blood pressure was up yesterday at my doctors appt. and its getting checked again on Friday and if its not down they are going to consider putting me on bed rest. Im not looking fwd. to that AT ALL!!!  When i posted yesterday someone said it may be a good idea to start getting things ready for bed rest just incase I have to start.

What would I need to get ready?

Tons of books, movies, craft projects, painting, and an unlimited bank account for online shopping.  I spent from 26 weeks on (to 34 weeks, 4 days) on strict bedrest.

Can I recommend something?  Go get maternity pictures done now.  I was on hospital bedrest for a lot of my bedrest, so I never got the opportunity.  I wish so much now that I could have.

I was on bedrest after a surgery I had a few years ago - and a few complications that arose from that. It was unexpected and I didn't have time to prepare but I'd suggest getting things to keep you entertained as well as giving the house a good cleaning.

well... make sure your DH know's what's in store. I was on bed rest for a bit and it got boring really fast. My DH took care of all the meals and only let me come downstairs when he was at work... and that was for food and food only... so i gathered my food and brought it back up to bed. Snacks and all.

Check out the high risk board. There are quite a few ladies on bed rest there and they have their own little group. Quite a few have high BP as well and are very nice and helpful.
