Small cars

in 2nd Trimester

So...I traded my SUV last year for a IS250. Love it, but didn't think about how a carseat would fit.It's a 4 door car, but it has the bucket like seats rather than a flat surface. My car also has side air bags.

Does anyone have the same or similar car situation? Just wondering how the Chicco Cortina carseat will fit and if I should be worried about the side air bags.

    im not a lot of help but i have an suv w/ side airbags in it as well and prior to reading this didnt even think about it being an issue.... :(

    The Chicco seat fits wonderfully in my VW Passat, and also in DH's Toyota Tacoma (4 door)... I've never tried it in a car like yours but I imagine that it shouldn't be much of an issue.  Your best bet is to go to a store and get them to let you test the seat in your car to make sure it fits.

    I've got a 2 door VW GTI w/side airbags, and I don't really see any problems. Now, I've got a bench seat in the back, but my front seats are bucket seats, so getting a car seat in and out might be an issue. I'm not giving my car up, though!!! This kid is gonna learn to love racing!
