Re: What swing & bouncer did U register for?
We have the Boppy Bounce in Comfort bouncer and LOVE it.
I'm not sure what swing we'll go with yet. We'll likely wait to see if we need it. We had one kid that loved it and one that hated it. We don't have that swing anymore and it was nothing fancy, or that I would buy myself.
We're going with the Graco Sweetpeace Soothing Station, it's a swing, it is on the pricier side but here's why I justified the price.
-It swings in an arc like motion to simulate a mother's rocking motion
-It can go multidirectional, front back/ side side
-It comes with a swaddle blanket
-It comes with a hood with toys for keeping light out
-It vibrates
-it has sounds/songs
(all of these features are specially designed for colicy babies, if you end up having a baby with colic)
The bonuses I found,
-It has an MP3 docking station so you can use your Ipod or whatever to play your own music.
-The seat portion is removable and can be placed on the floor and rocked with your feet. Let's say baby falls asleep, you can transport them around the house in the chair part without disturbing them. It just clicks in and out.
-The Graco carseat can snap ino the swing frame if you take the seat out! This is the best part. It's interchangeable with the car seat so if baby falls asleep in the car, voila stick them on the swing base...
We also have a papasan bouncer thing.
Momma Maven In The Making!
I have registered for the Fisher Price Zen Cradle Swing. I chose it because I like the fact that it plugs in or runs on batteries, has a removable infant seat (thus removing the need for an additional bouncer), the colors (I cannot stand all of the cartoony/loud colored baby stuff on the market), and the price. It has also received good ratings. You can see a video on it at Amazon.com (link above).

My friend's coworker had a son in July, and she has the Little Lamb swing. She said her son absolutely loves it.
